EFEK SAMPING ASM (6 TIPE ADR)

Sebenarnya, ini adalah pembagian efek samping untuk SEMUA jenis obat, bukan cuma ASM atau obat neurologi, yang dibuat oleh Rawlins-Thompson. Namun, karena di neurologi sering dibahasnya pada ASM, konteks dalam blog ini khusus ASM. 

ADR (adverse drug reaction) dari ASM ada 6 tipe

A(ugmented): dose-dependent, reversible, low severity. Contoh: dizziness, tremor, paresthesia

B(izarre): unrelated to dose or mechanism of action, related to individual vulnerability, severe, reversible. Contoh: SJS

C(hronic): related to dose and time, chronic. Contoh: gingival hiperplasia, weight gain

D(elayed): related to time, ireversible, prenatal exposure. Contoh: teratogenesis

E(nd-of-use): related to drug withdrawal. Contoh: insomnia, anxiety

F(ailure): unexpected treatment failure. Contoh: penurunan level plasma

Gingival hiperplasia dose-dependent (C), maka masih bisa adjust dosis, tapi kombinasi dengan yang lain. Kalau idiosinkrasi (B), tidak bisa adjustment, langsung stop dan ganti.
